Analysis of thermal comfort in urban area using Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System

چکیده

Abstract The rapid development of the city Yogyakarta has resulted in conversion land functions from built-up to undeveloped areas such as residential areas, office and industrial areas. This land-use change is predicted impact changes weather climate most cities cause Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon. will have implications for thermal comfort which can affect productivity community activities. study aims determine correlation between UHI level settlements Yogyakarta. research was conducted using remote sensing GIS approaches. Comfort classification obtained THI analysis analyzed UHI. variable used calculate Temperature Humidity Index (THI). results quantitative showed that City had a strong positive (r 2 = 0.93) with weak negative RH 0,52). T increase shows humidity decreasing. qualitative also show more than 95% people feel comfortable conditions they live.
